COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY ESSEX ~

GROUP MANAGER Matt Hughes

I was commissioned to capture a collection of images to mark Essex County Fire and Rescue Service Matt Hughes’ retirement. Matt is retiring after dedicating nearly 32 years of his life to the Fire Service and a career he loved. Matt’s work colleagues carefully chose a number of thoughtful specialist appliances to be including in the shoot as these are vehicles which Matt played a key part in introducing to the Service during his career, these included the Heavy Rescue Pump, the Animal Rescue Vehicle and an Aerial Ladder Platform. He was also joined by other Officers and his crews from Rayleigh Fire Station, Southend Fire Station, Leigh Fire Station and South Woodham Ferrers Fire Station.
Matt wore his fire kit and his formal uniform, also known as ‘Number 1’s’, as these represent and symbolise the courage and dedication of the team that Matt has been part of for many years.

I wish him a very long and happy retirement!
