ESSEX WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Luke & Samantha Leez Priory Wedding Venue

Luke and Samantha’s wedding was held at the beautiful Leez Priory, a Tudor manor house nestled in the glorious Essex countryside. The day began with bridal preparations in the bridal suite where the atmosphere was full of excitement when I arrived. Samantha was surrounded by her four bridesmaids Daisie, Dani, Pip and Vicki, her flower girl Isla and two page boys – their sons Freddie and Albie. Samantha’s mum, her mother-in-law and some close friends were also there for hair and makeup. Meanwhile Luke, his best man Mark and groomsman Greg were getting ready in the Granary, one of the three lodges hidden away in the grounds of Leez Priory.

Luke waited patiently in The Great Hall where the ceremony was held and was delighted to see Samantha being accompanied down the aisle by her dad and their two sons, flower girl and bridesmaids. Their sons held a sign which said ‘Daddy it’s time to give Mummy our last name’. After a beautiful ceremony the newlyweds had not one but two epic confetti lines – one as they exited The Great Hall and another as they came out from the Carriageway through the giant oak doors and into the inner courtyard overlooking the croquet lawn.

After a drinks and canape reception the guests headed to the Coach House for the wedding breakfast which was followed by fantastic speeches by the father of the bride, Luke and his best man each had the guests in stitches and tears!

With 40 acres of private grounds I was spoilt for choice with places to go for couple portraits from under the Great Tower, by the lake to the fields of wild grass.

When the evening guests arrived Samantha tossed her bouquet over her shoulders and into a group of single women. Her bridesmaid caught the bouquet so, according to tradition, she is “next” to walk down the aisle! After cutting the doughnut cake the bride danced with her father and then her new husband before the dancing the night away on the outdoor dance floor.

Here are a few highlights from their day.
