You know how the playground song goes, ‘First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes baby in the baby carriage’? Well that’s the song I’ve got in my head whilst writing this blog post! You see, I first met Matt and Laura during the summer of 2017 when I was asked by them to photograph their wedding. Their intimate wedding was held in London, they said their vows at Chelsea Town Hall and took a short stroll to a gastro pub for their wedding breakfast. We finished the day with a taxi ride to The Embankment for some iconic London shots. That was a particularly special spot for Matt and Laura as this was where Matt had proposed. You’ll understand my excitement then when they contacted me recently to say that they were expecting a baby and wanted to book one of my newborn sessions.
A few weeks later they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Indiana, into their family. She is one of the smallest newborns I have photographed and at just 6 days old she really was a little dolly. She was uncharacteristically alert when I first arrived but absolutely content with posing on my beanbag so I jumped at the chance of capturing some awake shots. After a quick feed she settled into a milk induced slumber and happily allowed me to capture photographs of her on her own, with her mummy and daddy and with her older siblings.
Here are a selection from the time I spent with this gorgeous family.
