The Barn Brasserie Wedding Photography

Peter & Paul (The Barn Wedding)

Peter and Paul have been together for 20 years and wanted their wedding to be a real celebration with their friends and family. This is why they chose The Barn Brasserie for their wedding.

The day started at Milsoms country house hotel in Dedham Vale where Peter and Paul and the wedding party got ready and had a bottle of bubbly to start the celebrations off in the right way!

For their ceremony and reception, they chose The Barn Brasserie Essex, an immaculately preserved 16th Century Grade II listed timber building in the heart of the countryside.  Peter and Paul have visited many times in the past and loved the setting, the food and had always found the service to be exceptional.

The focus for Peter and Paul was the five-course wedding breakfast and to share and enjoy this with their guests. My second shooter and I were treated like one of the guests and got to enjoy smoked duck breast, radish, pomegranate and orange salad with plum sauce for starter, followed by an Italian style lemon sorbet. The third course was delicious chicken with rosti potato with vegetables. The fourth course was a white chocolate and chambord mousse, white chocolate nibs, raspberry tuille. It was completed with a course of British cheese served with Flick’s Great Tey organic quince jelly, pickled celery, homemade bread and assorted crackers.

Peter and Paul couldn’t have asked for a better wedding breakfast. But it wasn’t just the food that made the wedding breakfast so special. The service was also impeccable, with the staff going out of their way to make sure that everyone had a wonderful experience. And the atmosphere was simply magical.

In addition to the delicious food, the Barn Brasserie also provided a beautiful setting for the wedding ceremony. The ceremony was held in the barn followed by Champagne, Pimms and canapes in the courtyard.

Peter and Paul had Toastmaster Guy Wade who was an integral part of the wedding day and helped to ensure the day ran to time. One of the parts of the day that Peter and Paul found memorable was when Guy formally welcomed them into the wedding breakfast and their guests all waived their napkins in the air and cheered! At the beginning of the evening Guy did a personal tribute that captivated the audience and couple and went down brilliantly.

The weather was perfect, and the whole day was superb.
